laevigatum...from Latin laevigatus, smooth, probably a reference to the appearance of the plant.
Yiranali - Aboriginal name for the cliffs of South Newcaslte Beach, king edward park, and south around to Bar beach, known as a sacred place of quiet respect and fear. Do not speak while walking under it's cliffs for fear of falling rocks
