First aired October 25, 2003, on a day we were originally scheduled to have Elliott on the show in live performance. Instead, I was left with building a tribute. I traversed the city with a microphone and portable recorder to capture impressions from those who worked closely with Elliot and those who helped to bring his music to a wider audience. All this hour, we're getting inside the music of Elliott Smith. What he left behind was a body of immensely beautiful and emotionally powerful work.

A Conversation With Sly Stone

On September 21st, 2016, Leonard Cohen celebrated his 82nd birthday with the release of a stunning new single called "You Want It Darker". On October 21st, 2016, he unveiled an entire new album. That same week, the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles hosted a listening event for the album. As part of the event, I spoke with Leonard and his son, Adam, who produced the album with contributions from Patrick Leonard, Sharon Robinson and a male vocal choir from Montreal. 

At 82 years old, and given his current health, this was his only scheduled interview surrounding the release. Accordingly, journalists from around the world were also in attendance.
