01 Intro

„Still Broke“ is a doomsday ark to host halftime monstrosities and endangered beats.

From the first drop the massive basslines intoxicates the veins. The dosage of five rough bangers will effect your body immediately and you feel sudden euphoria. At „Hyperreality“ you will find yourself at the height of delight and now it's too late to turn your back.. The effects might wary, but watch out, to get hyped on this.

The producers behind @alllone and @APLOT formed an alliance to embrace the hidden forces of bass music. As kids the trio grew up to the wisdom of old school Hip Hop and the weirdness of 8bit sounds. Over the years they emancipated to busy producers and djs. In 2017 their paths finally crossed and they founded the collective GreyNote that hosts and supports bass music in Austria. One year later they created a colossal halftime EP straight outta Graz/Gradec, that reflects their love for experimental sounds.

The name tells it all. „Still Broke“ is the story of three talented and underrated musicians. Its a tribute to all independent artists struggling for recognition and survival in the music industry.

They chose to reflect the times they are living in and also see it as an artist's duty to do so. Stefan, Mathis and Markus are entitled to progress and reimagine the state of art. The EP satisfies these highly ambitious standards and these 5 tracks have the energy to erupt the local beat scene. This massive composition waited for quiet a while to be presented to the public, but now the time has come. Duzz Down San is going to release the Kraken on 08.12.

Leading lights of the Austrian hip hop and electronica scenes, The Unused Word and Testa, have joined forces as Nødstop. The duo are releasing their debut seven track EP “Ø” in April 2019.

With nods to Portishead and hints of Laurie Anderson, “Ø” is a moody, electronic journey graced by Schauberger’s distinctive vocals, Testa’s stylish turntablism, hip hop inspired beats and a cool Scandinavian aesthetic. The captivating soundscape lures the listener in before confronting us with hard hitting lyrics that tackle big themes from the environment to domestic violence, echoing the continuous sense of unease that is the backdrop to contemporary life.

This interplay between the music and the lyrics is echoed in the name Nødstop, which is Danish for “emergency brakes”. Indulging in some multilingual wordplay, Schauberger explains, “You can nod your heads to our hip hop-influenced beats, but if you start listening to the words, you might stop because I do worry about things like climate change, homelessness or violence against women in my lyrics”.

My friend and label colleague Testa and I have joined forces as Nødstop. In December 2017 we started working on tracks together without any plan in mind. The collaboration went as flawlessly as possible, and today our first release called "Ø" sees the light of day!
