'Cory White is a collective alter-ego composed of various musicians/producers from around the world that come together at different times and locations to create mainly electro-acoustic sound worlds involving a wide variety of creative processes blending production, songwriting, sampling & more classical forms of compositions.
 
The influences and inspirations of Cory White are broad, taking African rhythmic traditions, Anglo-American musical practices and more modern genres such as House. A convivial rivalry between opposites and similarities. The alter-ego attempts to re-invent and recycle all sorts of art forms into one cohesive stream of music.

I bought J. Cole's 'KOD' LP as soon as it dropped with no warning to the fans; which I too am a fan.

"1985" resonated with me immediately so I asked Cole if I could get the Acapella and do an underground DJ version just for fun.

He sent it and I just pieced some stab samples to keep it on some boom bap shit.
