Christian Prommer isn't the average DJ, and is far from expectable in what he creates in the studio or onstage. He has always taken a jazz approach to music: open-minded, progressive, chic and atmospheric. The Munich-based DJ, percussionist and producer already experimented with samplers and drum machines in the late 1980s. Trained by virtuoso piano players and master drummers, he has spent the last 20 years moving between organic and electronic, between techno modernism and Blue Note cool.

After a decade-long love affair with studio technology, the 'Drumlesson' albums have helped Christian Prommer find the ideal balance between playing and programming, electronic and organic. They have also brought him back to his first love: the drums.

Our Traxsource Live! Sessions this week is Vertigini, Russian producer and DJ from Kazan City, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. Vertigini makes his interpretation of house music.

Starting out in 2016, giving his own twist on House Music with a healthy dose of funk shades, beats, deep bass and disco. It wasn't long before big labels were snatching up his cuts including the likes of Salted Music, Large, Nurvous, Midnight Riot and Sub_Urban.

Leading to him launching his own label Soul Beach Records, his latest track is Hypno Dance shows his signature sound in full force, with a real disco cosmic vibe. Check out his show featuring Bonetti, Mousse T, Metroplane, Peggy Gou and several of his own tunes.
