A song for Daisie Connolly.

This song was originally written about myself. It was a song about being ‘Only Human’ & making mistakes. However, upon receiving the heart breaking news about Daisie & being asked if I could write something for her, it soon changed. This song was recorded at Blueprint Studios in Manchester, and isn't a 'finished product'. However, I can't bring myself to sit with it any longer, and so it's being uploaded in its 'Demo' form. Daisie Connolly was born on December 2nd 2011 into a loving family. She made Craig Connolly & Chloe Gardner, her mum and dad, the happiest people in the world. You only have to take one look at a photo of Daisie & she’ll put a smile on your face. She really is a little princess. 

Daisie was diagnosed with a Cancerous Brain Tumour called ‘ATRT’. This heart breaking news prompted her amazing parents, and brilliantly supportive family, to focus all the love they have into a Daisie. Throughout the entirety of her illness, Daisies smile never wavered. She was truly inspiring and so, so strong.

August 18th 2013, at around 20 months old, Daisie passed away. 

This song is now, forever and always, dedicated to a beautiful little princess who was taken far too soon. But as the song says; Lets just leave it at goodnight, not goodbye.
