I was the kid beatboxing in diapers and walking around school with large headphones before it was cool. In fact, I have profound childhood memories playing my grandmother’s piano in a dark room, shutting out troublesome thoughts and replacing them with colors and shapes of sound. My synesthetic mind gave me admission into a world where every sound is a virtual image, and songs are 3D motion pictures, a painting of the most vivid hues. You know, it’s funny how not much has changed since those days.
 
Born and raised in Detroit, I’m influenced by the Motown sounds, techno, hip hop, and soul. Though the spirit of my musical city lives in me, I cross and fuse genres, embodying the true essence of diversity. From my college days when my first album was born in the dorms of Howard University to earning a Grammy nomination, it has always been my intention to make all types of music. Even now, as an independent LA-based producer, I choose to do it all--world music, pop, trap, funk, trailer music and fusion. Simply stated, I create music that inspires people to feel, to be, to experience, and to connect. 
 
Songs are like life experiences; each one a culmination of spirituality, emotion, and the subjectivity of art. So I root every project in my own personal meditation and relaxation practices, and I always hope this positive energy translates within each final piece. I’m a believer in positivity. A deep-thinker. Over-feeler. Evolver. Nature-freak. And I’m a fighter. 
 
I aim to inspire people (and myself) to push through even the most challenging times, to become warriors of their own wars, and to be the best versions of themselves regardless of life’s circumstances. Above all else, I hope we can connect and you’ll find a reflection of your own human experience in my work.
