Verse 1

Since the age of 14,
I been rollin' in the streets.
I don't do any tricks, 
But I know how to ride.

This long board of mine is
A double-kick Popsicle. 
I first got it while 
Looking in a pawn shop.

But didn't have anyone to
Teach me how to roll.
So instead, I learned on my own
By listening to a certain rap song

That tells you how to skate 
And now I'm rollin' in the streets.
And ever since then, it
became a new hobby.

Some would quit after just one fall,
But not me, I find skating rather easy.
I started off by rolli
In my backyard.

Then, I gained enough confidence
To start rollin in my neighborhood.
And finally, I gained enough
Confidence to roll in the parks and out in the streets.

Back in high school,

Or a break from school,
I'd be away from home 
For a couple of hours. 

When rollin at the parks
Or rollin in the streets, 
I encounter other skaters
Who wanna ride like me.

They would often 
Do tricks like a 
normal board, but they
Always fail.... again and again.

They often ask me
Where I got my board
And start treating me
Like I'm one of the Boyz yeah.

By a moving car

Slip off my longboard.

I still have all the scars
From all the times that I 
Dropped to the ground and 
Crashed to the trees.

But thankfully, I never
Cracked a bone 
Or even been taken to 
The hospital.

But, no matter much I 
Fall or feel the pain,
I'll always get up and
Keep rollin again. 

And Skatin has taught me
About trail and error, 
And what doesn't kill you 
Only makes you stronger.
