This is the tenth track on the "Cosmic Overdrive" album. Coming out of a one year hiatus, I now had a microphone set up and was looking forward to recording something acoustic. And while I originally didn't think an acoustic piece would fit in the album from a tonal perspective, I think it's placement in the overall conceptual idea of the album is very good.

Remembering Home

"Exposure" is an instrumental track titled to emphasize the importance of exposure in the art of photography. Drawing inspiration from my passion for photography and the beauty of Lake Como, I aimed to create a sonic landscape that balances creativity and technical exercise.

On the one hand , I tried to weave together musical elements that mirror the delicate balance and interplay of light and shadow in photography, and on the other hand I tried to evoke the powerful presence of wind and water. I tried to communicate the solidity and strength of mountain rocks that dominate the Lake.

As an integral part of my "Sounds from the Lake" playlist, "Exposure" serves as a sonic homage to the grandeur and generosity of Lake Como. Each track in the playlist represents my intentional pursuit to capture the beauty of this enchanting location, that provides me all the time with great inspiration.

I recorded the guitar solo using my '97 Gibson SG Standard.
I Recorded and mastered the track on AKAI MPC.
