Chris Paton is an Australian Singer/Songwriter, Producer and Musician.

Chris has been singing and writing songs since he was 8 years old.

In High School, Chris joined various Rock Bands before forming Melodic Rock Band 'Year 13' in 1998. The band had success with their song "I'll Be' (written by Chris) which was played on Radio Station Nova 96.9 as part of their Original Sydney Unsigned Find Initiative. This song was played throughout Australia.

Chris completed his Bachelor of Music in 2003 (majoring in vocal performance) at UNSW and became a full-time professional musician playing in various corporate and cover bands around Sydney. He achieved local notoriety in Sydney with acoustic duo 'Second Hand'. Second Hand performed over 1000 shows in a five year period. 

Chris left Year 13 in 2003 and began work on his debut solo EP 'Waiting To Fly'. The album was produced  by Chris and recorded at his friends studio: Studio Palmer. The title song from the E.P won Chris a Musicoz Development Award in 2005.

In 2008, Chris formed Rose of York with friends Jason Ambler and Darrel Waugh. Rose of York's music is described as melodic rock music. Their sound was described as Foo Fighters mixed with Coldplay. Rose of York have released three E.P's:

2011 - Shine EP
2013 - Summer's Gone EP

In 2013, Chris left for Nashville to write and record his long awaited second EP. The record will be different from his debut EP which was acoustic pop-rock. His latest songs have more folk elements to it.
