This is one of a few tunes I recorded as a bit of an experiment way way back, when I had a fair bit of free studio time. It was never meant to be a 'dance' tune, more a sit back and let your mind wander tune. The words are taken from Shakespeare's sonnet 73. It was recorded mainly using an Akai S1000, 2 Roland JV1080s, Yamaha SY85 and a Jen SX1000.

That time of year.

Another one of the experimental tunes I did around 1999-2000. The samples are taken from an album recorded in 1968 by a very famous British band. I say no more. The overall inspiration for the track was my time spent living in Cornwall, hence the seagulls at the start. Again this was recorded on Logic, running an Akai 1000, 2 Roland JV 1080s, a Yamaha SY85 and a Jen SX1000. The vocals on the tune were provided by myself and Rachel, a good friend of mine.

Song without words.

This tune is another experimental idea from 1999-2000ish. The vocal at the start is a reversed and modified recording of a well known New Zealand opera singer. The spoken word is taken from an incredibly obscure self help LP which I unfortunately no longer posess. Recorded using Logic running an Akai 1000, 2 Roland JV1080s, a Yamaha SY85, a Jen SX1000 and a knackered Roland Juno 60.

Carpe diem.

Another experimental tune from 1999-2000. The voice is taken from a recording of a Buddhist monk talking about the pursuit of happiness. The tune started around 144 BPM and eventually levelled out at around 156 I seem to remember. If this was played in a club, St John's ambulance would be very busy reviving exhausted punters! Recorded on Logic running an Akai 1000, 2 Roland JV1080s, a Yamaha SY85 and a Jen SX1000.
