"Nuit Blanche" is a piece of music for string orchestra inspired in the already existing short film “Nuit Blanche” (2010) from the director Arev Manoukian.

Thanks to my friends, who did such a incredible performance of my piece. Without them help, this wouldn't be possible at all.

A Cowboy, A Pirate, And An Astronaut Walk Into A Bar...

A couple of weeks ago my grandmother, Alta, passed away. She was one of the most kind and brilliant individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I had been preparing for our upcoming recording session at the time, but when I heard the news about my grandmother, I knew I had to write something different, something that I cannot express in words. "Alta's Hourglass" is not about my grandmother's passing, but about the beautiful life she lived and the many people she helped and inspired. Although my grandmother may have passed on from this life, her story and her positive influence in so many of our lives will never be forgotten.

Impressions

"Because music, as an art form is essentially playful. We say, “You play the piano” You don’t “work the piano”.
Why? Music differs from say, travel. When you travel you are trying to get somewhere. In music, though, one doesn’t make the end of a composition.
The point of the composition, if that were so, the best conductors would be those who played fastest. And there would be composers who only wrote finales. People would go to a concert just to hear one crackling chord… Because that’s the end!
Same way with dancing. You don’t aim at a particular spot in the room because that’s where you will arrive. The whole point of the dancing is the dance."
