Since then the song evolved lyrically & instrumentally, with sailing valve church organ mixed with acoustic guitar played in a unique resonant way & drums. The song touches on subjects of inner growth, returning to self, finding your joy. By 2024 it was ready to be recorded & released. Album release - Journey of the Soul -  1st October 2025...

Journey of the Soul – Is a sonic journey of its own with valve church organ mixed with, rhythm & lead acoustic guitars & drum kit played in a soundscape, ethereal manner, meandering with the organ, through the three separate vocal & four instrumental sections.. Lyrically the song touches on subjects of self awareness, spirit & the journey of the souls understanding of its own nature. The song was first written & performed in 2009, by Chris Righton & his band at the time, and kept evolving musically & lyrically all the way up until 2025 when it was ready to be recorded & released. Recorded in 2025 in the basement of the family home in Melbourne that Chris grew up in. Though the track has been performed many times under a different title, it was considered that the track had actually evolved enough in the 16 years since it was first written & performed, that it required a more comprehensive title.

The album was recorded at the family’s music room in Melbourne's 2025 winter, weaving drums, guitars & chis's Yamaha Electone 85W valve organ, a truly magical machine. The 43min album has 4 tracks. Infinite – track 1 - Is a soulful/blues track with sailing church organ acoustic guitar & drums. Started in 2017 & evolved until 2024, through many changes. Children of the Sun – track 2 - Has a feeling of ethereal space travel in sections, with acoustic guitar & weaving organ. It was released in Feb 2024 & has also been included in this release. Journey of the Soul – track 3 - Is a sonic journey of its own with church organ, rhythm & lead guitars & drums meandering through three separate vocal & instrumental sections. It was first written & played by Chris & his bands around Melbourne from 2009 onwards. It was never officially released in this time & the song kept evolving musically & lyrically until 2024. This is its first official release. Together – track 4 - Is more of a traditional soulful/rhythm & blues. Started back in 2012 it also evolved lyrically until it was finished in 2024...
