February’s edition comes from Peter Makto.   

In the early 90’s Peter fell in love with Electronic Dance Music. Headphones on, listening excessively to loud music not only served its purpose of exclusion from the World, but this was the beginning of his musical journey. He has now dedicated over 20 years of his life to the scene, with his hard work, resulting in not only running 3 great record labels, but also managing  Truesounds Music Promotion & Management. 

His DJ-ing style and ability sets him apart from others, playing at parties including  Sunset Ashram Ibiza, The Soundgarden, Bohemia Beach, Columbia and many more. 
 
Labels under his belt include Hoomidas, The Soundgarden and Where The Heart Is, all of which are clear signs that Peter is one of the best out there!  

Connecting with people and creating long-lasting memories is that really makes him tick. The DJ booth is his true home, and this mix certainly highlights that.

Dedicación, compromiso, pasión. Estos elementos han estado siguiendo a Nick desde que empezó su viaje hacia el mundo de la música electrónica, hace 15 años atrás.
Durante su residencia en el icónico club VENUE de su ciudad natal Atenas, fue la combinación de profesionalidad y pasión genuina por la cultura de la música house underground; que le permitió hacer su marca como un “warm up” dj para algunos de los más grandes nombres en la música dance. Aunque se encontró compartiendo cabina con sus ídolos a una edad bastante joven, consiguió dirigir su entusiasmo y entregar el dancefloor perfectamente preparado para que los invitados especiales tomasen el control. La calidad de sus habilidad para seleccionar llamó la atención de algunos de los pesos pesados como Nick Warren, quién le nombró como el “DJ más subvalorado del mundo” en DjMag ́s Top 100. Pero fue Hernán Cattaneo quién se cautivó, principalmente por su visión progresista que lo llevan a confeccionar sets elegantes y bien armados.
 La leyenda sudamericana inicialmente invitó a Nick en sus tours por Grecia y desde entonces se crea una relación en torno a la música y el talento; que florece hasta el día de hoy. Su colaboración ha crecido y se ha expandido con gran éxito en 3 continentes (Europa / América / Asia). Hasta la fecha llevan casi 60 fechas juntos; una cifra que apenas representa la creciente relación musical y - mas que todo – una gran amistad. Su carrera internacional sigue creciendo con shows desde Bali a Amsterdam & desde Nueva York a Tokio, mientras ha estado dejando su destacada marca como productor. 
Como un asiduo actual en el sello “Sudbeat” y con una cantidad ascendente de lanzamientos; construye una carrera igualmente prometedora en el ámbito de la producción. Siempre leal a los elementos melódicos atmosféricos pero con una modernización continua, en conjunto a su habilidad de mezclar un sinfín de estilos de música house undergroound, ha creado su sonido característico.Un estilo único, que lo llevó a tocar con leyendas de dos generaciones; como Sasha, John Digweed, Sven Vath, Dubfire, Solomun - y esta lista sigue. Con shows en algunos de los clubes más icónicos del mundo tales como Crobar y Pachá en Nueva York, Mansion en Miami, en festivales legendarios como Creamfields en Buenos Aires y el BPM, con una presencia constante en los eventos Off Sónar en Barcelona - su base actual - o en ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event), él continua otorgando sets bien estructurados e intrigantes; haciendo su grupo de seguidores más grande y aun más fieles.

Ariel Gandolfo, de Buenos Aires, Argentina es un artista autodidacta que suele trabajar bajo el apodo de Nicholas Van Orton.
Trabaja como productor musical, Dj, técnico de masterización y también dirige el sello discográfico Balkan Connection South America.
Ariel descubrió la música a una edad temprana, tocando con samplers y cantando en bandas locales. Durante estas experiencias, también descubrió su interés por la grabación y mezcla de material musical, lo que lo llevó a conocer más los softwares de creación musical.
Luego de grabar varios álbumes, decidió comenzar a producir música electrónica como Nicholas Van Orton.
Ya sea trabajando como solista o como parte de un equipo de producción, sus pistas aparecen frecuentemente en listas de DJs y tiendas de discos, y han recibido el apoyo de reconocidos DJs en la escena del house progresivo, como John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren y Sasha , Entre muchos otros.
Durante estos años, Nicolás también incursionó en el Djing, recorriendo Argentina y varios países de América y Europa.

En el estudio

NVO dedica parte de su tiempo a la producción y masterización musical para radio, cine, TV y sellos discográficos, siendo autor de muchas bandas sonoras originales para las principales cadenas de TV como Disney Channel, FOX, AXN, MTV y TV Pública Argentina, donde estuvo encargado de la producción de música original para el espectáculo "Si Te He Visto ..", del famoso historiador Felipe Pigna. También participó en la composición de música original para comerciales de las marcas Chevrolet, Ford, ASPRO y Converse, por nombrar algunas.

The success of Chriss Ronson could be explained by the time he spent in music history but as we can see through numerous examples the lack of being able to renew could only hold a very few within the music scene. This holds exceptionally true for the electronic scene which is all about progress and renewal since its sole existence – or about change if you like. Chriss has all these capabilities and had all along, which is brilliantly proven by his album SWITCH, as we can speak about a forward-looking album in all aspects and which stands its’ ground on international standards as much as any publication of any other famous prodcer’s latest release. 
SWITCH in this sense is much more plastic in its sound, accommodates to the contemporary electornic music still not a genre release and on which you can truly feel the musicality that drove Criss during the past decades, who on the other hand could manage to create himself in the  intelligent way without any manner and mannerism using his own sound to it.
In compliance with this the flow of the whole album is built on one single perfect structure owing greately to the order of tracks and their separate sets. If we want to see the personality of their creator by all means in it then we could say that Chriss Ronson truly put his personal changes into this album, effects that influenced him and of which the titles of each song tells us a bit along with the already mentioned structure. Not to mention that he could manage to make this with such mucical support as Balázs Fehér, MC Fedora, Sab Martenius or Myra Monoka who all participated in the album for a song and who are all epic figures of the Hungarian light music. 
SWITCH in this sense is one Chriss Ronson’s most characteristic and most ’perceptable’ album which addresses the audience like a swtich that definitively connects the producer, the DJ with the audience and with that media that switches from reality to a different spiritual level the moment the DJ stands behind the mixer and the lights go off.
