A creamy warm bowl of freshly made soup.
Walking down an enchanted path carpeted in crimson leaves.
Feeling cuddly inside while observing a rainy autumn afternoon from the window.”

Once again, after an insane summer, the calmer autumn vibes breathe new musical inspiration into me. I never cherished fall so much like this season. Looking forward to deepening connections, taking time for things, consistency, some sweater weather, and sooner or later the hermit mode. Finding beauty in the colder and darker period of the year, instead of running away from it.
Feels like the time to go inward again and find your own magic, give it space to breathe and develop. Embrace creativity. Cast some enchanting spells. Find your own magical learnings. Brew some funky potions.
Dedicating this set to all the Dragons, Dwarves, Elves, Fairies, Giants, Gnomes, Satyrs, Goblins, Orcs, Trolls, Dark Elves, Unicorns, and other mythical creatures out there.

And as Alan Moore once said…

This weekend at Ecstatic Dance Lab Connectival was all about diving deep into the different qualities that Ecstatic Dance has to offer. Every day was dedicated to another sequence of Ecstatic Dance - this set I played on Thursday evening; this day was all about landing, connecting with myself, arriving in the space, grounding, feeling the earth. As you can hear, my set is not all about these qualities - but it was created with the focus on them specifically.

I’ve wanted to do this for a longer time now. Create a soundbath dedicated to my medicine songs archive, which I started many years ago. This musical journey means a lot to me and I hope it finds you in the right moment. It does not contain any electronic tracks - only acoustic sounds, icaros, mantras, prayers, blessings, live recordings from ceremonies, and healing songs from various traditions throughout the world. Forever grateful for all these talented musicians, singing deep into my soul and channeling the medicine straight into my heart. 

Gracias madre selva, gracias padre sol, gracias a la tierra y los espiritus, siempre sanando nuestras almas.

Steffen Kirchhoff ist ein Gärtner der ersten Echoes Stunde und schenkt uns zum Geburtstag seine Medizin. Du bist eine so grosse Bereicherung durch deine offene herzliche Art, deinem Mut sich dem Leben hin zu geben und der grossen Bereitschaft mit uns allen zu teilen.

This set was recorded at a friends place in the countryside near my hometown rostock close to the baltic sea. I'm sure my intense Fusion Festival Experience has left a mark in the mix as well as my reflections upon the 6 months of travelling trough central and south america. The last half year was almost surreal. I have been to the most beautiful places in nature, meet amazing people and lost and found myself over and over again. My biggest insight of this journey so far is that we literally ARE what we are looking for outside of ourselves and we contain everything we need to manifest our dreams already NOW We are the cause AND the effect.. And we are complete and whole within our own presence and awareness. There is nothing we can add to ourselfes to make us more complete than we already are.

The 7-day Jornada Psicodélica took place around the New Years of 2020/2021 in Bahia, Brazil. Organised by my wonderful friend Luiza at her Celestial Garden and by my new psychedelic family from Instituto Jurema from São Paulo. The Institute does an important work in Brazil by promoting a therapeutic and ritualistic use of psychedelics. More beautiful things are emerging from this collaboration.
