It turns out those things, all those things that they told us they weren’t true
And the stories that they read to us when we were little kids were made up too
Whats this acorn to do but grow into a twisted tree

They set our dreams on fire and sent them off as smoke lines drifting high
Now twisted little chem trail clouds are all that’s left of what once was our dreams

And it won’t be long before theyre kicking down your door and telling you to

Packed right up and got the fuck right out of town

It turns out that the data we receive is only mostly incomplete (only 90% mostly)
So let’s defrag our hard drives dance and make loud music in the streets
Cuz im pretty sure the time is coming pretty soon when we must make amends
As our enemies all gather round, we’re gonna wish we had a million friends

Well it won’t be long before they’re kicking down your door to tell
You can’t dance here anymore. 
And it wont be long before they tell you what to eat and think 
and make you sleep in little metal drawers

It turns out the promises they made to us well they were all just lies
And the promises we made ourselves have choked on the clouds and they have died
So then, what are we to do well maybe we should sit around and wait?
Or maybe we should take our future back or only blame ourselves for our own fate

Cuz it wont be long before they're kicking down you door and telling you you're stereo's too loud
And the way it looks somedays I'm afraid it’s already too late when the white noise always seems to drown you out

so lets tear down the power, tear down the power lines 
tear em down and build a bunch of trees
we'll throw away our smart phones build ourselves a real home
