Another 2-Step Garage track, with an R&B influence. Growing up in the early 2000s there was a TV programme called The Story of Tracy Beaker. I loved watching it, as a child I had such a crush on the character called Justine.

I always wanted to mix shoegaze style vocals with hard hitting jungle drums, the result is this track. In high school I played drums in a terrible band, but it exposed me to lots of alt music genres like shoegaze. Alongside this I was hearing jungle on Pirate Radio stations when driving through London with my Dad.

Petals Freestyle

A year ago I did a rhythm Roulette, which I'll link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQX9b2B3e9E It's a challenge where you select 3 records blindfolded and then make a track from them. A few days ago, someone called John emailed me, asking for a copy of the released track to play at a private party he was holding. Unfortunately I hadn't released or finished it! Upon reading his email I mixed, mastered the track from the video and uploaded it here. So I hope John and you guys on here enjoy it!

Rhythm Roulette

The lyrics for this track were inspired by the show 'The End of the F***ing World'. I wrote it from James's perspective and the dilemma he faces with his feelings towards Alyssa, played by Jessica Barden (who is my biggest TV crush 😭)

I found a snippet of Sophie Marks singing on TikTok and knew I had to sample her. The original version of her track had a late 80s R&B feel to it. So I tried to pay homage to that using 80s delays, tape saturated reverbs and funky rhythms. I flipped it into this disco/funk track.
