Nico Pusch versteht es wie kaum ein anderer Emotionen und minimale Stile in seinen Melodien zu verbinden. Er transportiert in seinen Sets jede Menge Gefühle und lebt elektronische Musik von vorn bis hinten. Der aus Rostock stammende DJ und Produzent, hat in der Vergangenheit vorallem durch seine Produktionen und Bootlegs auf sich aufmerksam gemacht und sich eine riesige Fanbase in den Clubs der Republik erspielt. 

Auch uns haben seine Sets das Jahr über begleitet und geprägt, daher war schnell klar, wer für uns sein persönliches Best Of 2013 abmischen sollte. Um so mehr freuen wir uns das es geklappt hat und Nico Pusch für Euch seine Lieblings-Tracks des Jahres in einen einstündigen Podcast vereint.

The warm days are coming to an end. I hope, that everybody of you had a prefect summer 2014. I will start my first vacation this year. For the long journey from Germany (Hamburg) to South America (Rio de Janeiro) I recorded a new set. Yeah, mostly soulful and melodic tunes and not the typical christian leik beats, but for my three weeks over there in rio I just want to relax and enjoy my life with this kind of music.

Der 15.11. gilt ab jetzt als ein historisches Datum, denn die Hamburger Nächte Musikkassette ist an den Start gegangen.

Christian Leik wurde früh in seiner Jugend mit der Musik vertraut gemacht. Im zarten Alter von 15 Jahren stand er damals schon hinter dem Mischpult und beherrschte es, die Leute zum Feiern zu animieren.

Zu Beginn seiner „kleinen DJ-Karriere“ konnte man zu deutschsprachigem Hip Hop tanzen. Heute hingegen wird ordnungsgemäß zum Vierviertel-Takt auf dem Dancefloor gefeiert. Es geschah während seines Studiums in Hamburg als, der damals 25-Jährige, die ersten Berührungen mit der elektronischen Tanzscene machte.

Während einer Feier auf dem Hamburger Kiez wurde Christian das erste Mal zu einer „Techno-Party“ entführt. Was dort geschah, hat die Leidenschaft zur elektronischen Tanzmusik in ihm entfacht und  bis zum heutigen Tage nicht mehr losgelassen. Eine nie dagewesene Kombination von wunderbaren Menschen, treibender sowie rhythmischer Musik und dem Gefühl von Freiheit und Unbeschwertheit.

Seit dieser besagten Nacht vergeht kein Tag ohne diese spezielle und besondere Musikrichtung namens Techno.

In den Anfängen wurden lediglich Sets für den eigenen Walkman gemixt. Die Schwerpunkte innerhalb des Musikgenres „elektronische Tanzmusik“ lagen ebenfalls weit auseinander. Zu Beginn wurden von Christian diverse Künstler wie beispielsweise Daft Punk, Armand van Helden oder Dave Armstrong favoritisiert. Nach acht Jahren hat sich aber auch das geändert. Die typischen 125 Takte pro Minute sind geblieben und auch der rhythmische Viervierteltakt ist noch immer fester Bestandteil.

Die heutigen Inspirationen für seine DJ-Sets sowie seine ersten eigenen Produktionen erlangte Christian von Künstlern wie beispielsweise Beatamines, Andreas Henneberg, Alex Q sowie Alec Troniq und Egokind.
