A dark and radical music produced in contrast to a sanitized and normalized era. Brigade Apache's First Album suggests a convincing alternative: bifurcation and dissidence. An abrasive and wild Sci-Fi space opera, unclassifiable Electro/Acid/New Beat/Post Punk, "Firefly" introduces the possibility of pogo on the dancefloor, through a melancholic and brutal soundtrack carried by machines played like guitars in a garage, and illustrated by the enigmatic landscapes of Laura Kopf who designed the album's cover.

In the stairwell, a meeting: sound artist, radio interference manipulator and musician-producer-arranger. The bass escapes from the cellar and vibrates along the corridors. A door opens, oscillations swirl, clash, and blur the tracks. A voice rises. Concrete architecture. Bodies armed for expression. In the distance, the echo of a rave party."

H.L.M (Haute Lévitation Mutée), the project of Guillaume Laidain & Andrew Claristidge, are next up on artist duo, agency and label Milk Me's release schedule. Titled 'Grenoble', the single is a homage in name to the Southwestern city where H.L.M. met and is coincidentally also the home of one of the release remixers, French electro luminary The Hacker. He's joined on remix duties by an equally strong French cast of Arnaud Rebotini and Pablo Bozzi, who together put their own spins on the moody, chugging EBM of the original, which is laced with hypnotic spoken word and haunting synth lines.

Aboutdeath, is the solo project of Turkish-German born musician Yaman Eris. His musical style can be described as a combination of ambient textures, experimental electronic elements, and lo-fi aesthetics. The 3-track debut EP "Delivered," released independently in 2024, serves as an initial window into the musical world of Aboutdeath.

Yaman’s musical journey began humbly in the energetic world of punk rock bands during his youth in Hamburg where he started songwriting and singing. From there on he found himself drawn into the depths of experimental rock music as a guitar and drum player. In his university years as an Arts & Media Student in Vienna, his path led him to electronic music and the culture of clubs. This newfound passion made him produce his first club tracks and dive into DJing mostly in Istanbul and Vienna, where he curated his parties.

Growing increasingly disenchanted with the superficiality of nightlife culture, he found solace in music production, making him commit to a project focused on creating music for his own fulfillment. Drawing from the rich tapestry of his background, Aboutdeath embarked on an ongoing journey fueled by both past and present inspiration.

2015 will see German techno mainstay Stephan Bodzin ready to unleash his next full-length musical vision on the world. Entitled “Powers of Ten”, the 10-track album will land in June 2015 on his own Herzblut Recordings and provides another great insight into the melodically rich muscle mind of this modern great.
Says Stephan Bodzin of the LP: “Powers of Ten has been with me all my life and is named after a book that has been my background hiss, its confusing truth is my only real faith and its infinity shows me its finiteness. The album is about harmonies, melodies, rhythms. It is an homage to Bob Moog, full of techno beats and sounds and space and party and ecstasy and dancing and listening, and crying and feeling. It is a journey, a philosophy of life, a view of the world, a vague perception. It is my wife, my children, my family, my friends, my passion, my enemy, my greatest fulfillment, my fear, my deepest peace, my power, all my love.”
As such, this album is hugely personal and is filled with cerebral messages and well thought out concepts. All this shines through and makes it an all the more engaging listen from start to finish. Kicking off with the spine tingling chords and louche beats of ‘Singularity’ cuts like ‘Lila’ then continue to confirm that Stephan Bodzin has a classical understanding of melody that is way beyond your average.
‘Blue Giant’, ‘Wir’ and ‘Ix’ all manage to be uplifting and thoughtful at the same time as driven and groovy, whilst ‘Birth’ comes on with a hymnal high note, long tailed pads and subtly shifting beats. The ghostly grooves of ‘Zulu’ mark a majestic mid point to the album, which then continues to seduce with spiritual synths and more beautiful melodies on cuts like ‘Odyssee’ as well as the album’s standout title track.
Unfolding coherently and in soothing fashion, this album once again proves that few producers in the modern world have a knack for melody and an ear for sonic ingenuity quite like Stephan Bodzin.

Fresh from starting his own label Insult To Injury, Timothy Clerkin returns to Ransom Note Records with the 'Knife Edge Heart' EP! Having already previewed Gabe Gurnsey's remix of the title track, we're very happy to finally present the original ahead of the full EP release tomorrow.

A departure from Timothy's usual facemelting techno, ‘Knife Edge Heart’ stands as an unabashed pop song whose shimmering exterior is cut through with flashes of steely darkness. Frequent collaborator Natalie Reiss’ glacial voice is held at the perfect level of remove, while Timothy allows his love of shoegaze to blossom with a guitar line that seems to extend like a ladder to the stars.

AT : "I always loved the Italian Cinematic Beat Scene from the 60s and 70s and Maestro Armando Trovajoli was definitely one of most brilliant composers of that golden era.
I also always enjoyed the movie "Riusciranno i nostri eroi a ritrovare l'amico misteriosamente scomparso in Africa?"(1968), filmed between Rome and Angola and inspired by Joseph Conrad's "Hearts of Darkness", although in a laid-back funny way.
This is just my trippy "Luanda Dark" Re-interpretation of "Feitiço da Noite"."
