Juan Acosta, also known as Choker, is a fresh blood artist in the Colombian techno and hardtechno scene. His passion for electronic music began many years ago as a raver, and he decided to return to the turntables. He's also a drummer, which fuels his interest in the groove of bass drums, snares, cymbals, and toms in his sets. He has attended events where influential figures from the community were present, alongside performances by prominent artists like Fernanda Martins, Boris S, Svetec, Diogo Ramos, Golpe, Behard, Buchecha, Alex Tb, Loraw, Luckes, Lukas, Tekkerkane, Barbers, Greg Notill, Monster Mush, and many more!.

In 2022, he became part of the hardependientes crew, hosting various events and podcasts for Victor Violence - Under Crew - NGDS, and Fnoob Techno. In 2023, he released his debut single titled "SINTETIC INFERNO," a collaboration with Hardchemist. He's currently working on his first EP called "Latin Hard Kicks," guided by his mentor Killerstrike. Undoubtedly, he's a Colombian artist eager to share his music worldwide!

Since I was born I felt attracted to music and listen to almost all genres. In 1990 I fell in love with electronic music, started dreaming of spinning vinyl and bought my first records. I had access to equipment, but was too shy and nervous to pursue my dream.

In 2015 I started again, this time with digital DJing. First as DJane Octavia, I was playing Deep House, House and Tech House, and later also Techno, Hard Techno, Acid Techno and Industrial Techno. When I started playing techno, I got more recognition. I had the honour to perform on different radio shows and began to publish these sets on Soundcloud and Mixcloud: BASSINJECTION, CUEBASE-FM.DE, SHB-Showcase, Planet X and CLUBIO PRESENT FORWARD, Natural Instinct.

Since December 2017 I use DJane Octavia only for the other genres, and have a new name for techno: DJane Darkness. Since October 2019 I am a resident DJ for Keepers of the Labyrinth.
