Fordal (Les Dales) is a producer whose love affair with music has been evident from the off. His earliest memories were of his Dad, a saxophonist playing Jazz clubs and sharing the same bill as legends like Jimmy Hendrix shaping Fordal’s desire to look beyond mainstream and be immersed in counterculture music.

Born in the North East, an area of the UK steeped in dance music history. His passion was ignited upon his first visit to The Arena Opening Party in Middlesbrough, and watching Andrew Weatherall play techno at the legendary London club Turnmills and he instantly was hooked.

Fordal first made his name opening the renowned Binary Records shop in 1998, regarded as a music collectors paradise until it fell foul to the digital piracy era and the shop closed in 2001. This musical foundation was detrimental to Fordal’s progress in music, allowing him to cut his teeth at some of the most prestigious venues around the world, including The Arena, Purple Onion, The Cornerhouse, Ministry of Sound and EGG London.

This is where Fordal began to cultivate his own unique sound, becoming known for his desire to take listeners on a journey spanning an eclectic and colourful range of genres and sounds, defying musical boundaries and contrasting between the light and dark. As the industry evolved so did Fordal, an itch to push his artistry into new territories took him to Point Blank Music School to hone his music production skills.

Combine his impressive and wide ranging record collection, his ability to captivate dancefloors and his upcoming music productions and you have the ingredients for a unique artist set to capture imaginations of music fans across the world.

The latest in our free download series revisits Chicola & Sahar Z's 'It Happened One Night EP'. Released in February of this year the three track offering earned play and support from Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Guy J, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Fur Coat and more. The release reached #1 in Electronica, #2 in Progressive, #3 in Techno and #6 overall in Beatport's Top 100 releases charts. 

Long awaited on the EP was 'The Stage', a track which was written over two years ago, the 14 minute techno jam earned praise from Agents of Time and Stephan Bodzin, also reaching #7 in Beatport's Electronia tracks chart, and still sitting in the Top 100 today, over 6 weeks later. As a thank you for the great support we received on the release Chicola has done a new version of the track aimed squarely at the dance floor. Big, groove driven techno primed for peak time is the vibe here with just hints of the original trailing through the framework, and although the label is heading into deeper territories we thought you'd enjoy it as a free gift. Christian Monique is a DJ and producer born in Venice, Italy. His sound is progressive house, dark progressive and progressive trance. The biggest influences of Christian Monique are Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, John Digweed and Marcelo Vasami for their unique and original styles.

He has more than 10 years of DJ-ing experience in Italy. In 2018, Christian has played at a big event in his town called, "Notte Bianca". The same year, he has played by the first time in Budapest (Hungary) at the Akvarium Klub with Guy Mantzur. 

Christian appeared on labels such as The Soundgarden, Bonzai Progressive, Black Hole Recordings, Pure Trance, Balkan Connection, Balkan Connection South America, White Soho, Massive Harmony Records, DAR Label, Stellar Fountain, 3rd Avenue, Transpecta, Vesta Records and many more. 
His music has the support of great artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Solarstone, Airwave, Ruben De Ronde, Mariano Mellino, Aly & Fila, Gai Barone, Denis A among others.
Christian Monique, is actually host on two radio shows. Since January 2018, every 3rd Friday goes on air “Seventeen” on Frisky Radio. Since January 2019, every 4th Saturday of the month, "Upside Down" is broadcast on Progressive Beats.

Nowadays, he is composing new productions and remixes for several record labels.
