For the mashup assignment, I decided to combine the tracks "All the Small Things" by Blink 182 and "Lollipop" by Lil Wayne.  This mashup combines the pop punk genre with rap/R&B.  Due to their similar beats per minute and heavy emphasis on beat one, these two disimilar songs can still be mashed up without too much manipulation.  The final minute of the piece, has almost no manipulations and proves just how superficially different two songs can sound while having eerily similar constructions.  I could have included the full track of Lollipop, including the instrumentation, however I felt that it would have detracted from the general theme of the assignment.
