We are very excited to share with you @christianvoldstad's perception of Far Blue. Christian's mixes that have come straight from the Burning Man Playa, Sisyphos and many other places have intrigued us for years now, and we are proud to have him share his Far Blue concept with us. A real enthusiast of electronic music, blending a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. This melancholic touch definitely comes out with this interpretation of Far Blue titled 'Lethe', recorded in NYC.

I brought my friends @oba-flip and @nodestinationmusic onboard, and we soundtracked a wonderful sunrise and morning on Playa. Here is my set from that day on my favourite snail :)

Bespoke Musik Partner and Label Director, Christian Voldstad, is back with a beautiful new mix for our radio show.

Christian acquired his love of electronic music while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist.

After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. His music blends a focus on the low-end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between.

Some of his notable bookings include Gazgolder and Leveldva in Moscow, Café D’ Anvers in Antwerp, Sisyphos in Berlin, Output and Cityfox in Brooklyn, Do Not Sit on the Furniture and The Electric Pickle in Miami, and Robot Heart and the 747 at Burning Man.

The story began in 2015 at Brooklyn’s Lot 45, where Powel dazzled on the decks and a young Christian Voldstad warmed up the crowd, proving that even scrappy openers can steal hearts. Nearly a decade of countless B2B sets, Burning Man, Berlin, and beyond, the two have fine-tuned their chemistry and along the way, listeners coined the name “Powelstad”.

Powelstad EP is the result of more than a year of collaborative sessions in Powel’s Berlin studio. It’s a concise expression of both artists' shared musical tastes, incorporating hardware synthesizers and recorded organic instruments. Rounding things out is a stunning remix by Samihe of Minds Alike Records—because perfection always needs a cherry on top.

Christian grew up in the UK, where he developed a love for electronic music. In 2021 he became a resident of Beachouse in Ibiza, where he provides the soundtrack for sunny days on Playa D’en Bossa. He has also recently joined the All Day I Dream roster, having contributed multiple videos to the All Day I Stream series, as well as being booked to play All Day I Dream events at Space Nightclub in Miami, Cova Santa in Ibiza, and the All Day I Dream festival in California.

His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between.

Christian now manages the Bespoke Musik record label, as well as helping run the brand with the founder, Rocky Ramniceanu. The second release on the label was his collaborative ep with German All Day I Dream artist Powel, and marks his first foray into the music production field. The two met whilst sharing a lineup in Brooklyn, which marked the start of their musical partnership, as well as his first event as a Bespoke Musik resident.
