even back when I was in school (or sport) and I was learning something new, I didn't have that compassion from anywhere. It was more aboit learning it faster and better so I could catch up to everyone else in the class or team.

in the audio,when you say "fail" it sounds so harsh. Using something like "when things don't work out" seems gentler and more physical as well

I've listened to this meditation so many times over so many urars but, still, in the moments when I need it most, when I'm upset 😡,  angry 😠, disappointed 😞, it still doesn't even come to my mind - reminding myself that I'm learning, etc

quite often I try to convince myself that I'm doing the best I can, I even seem to question that. A voice says "even just yesterday you did better than they" or "if you were doing your best, you'd be doing 'X'"
