The inspiration for "King of the Woods" came from my upbringing and the rugged, untamed beauty of the holler life. It’s rooted in the idea of being a leader and protector in your own domain—the woods that shaped me, taught me resilience, and forged my strength. The song captures the pride of knowing your land like the back of your hand, living by your own rules, and standing tall as the ruler of your world. Whether it’s surviving harsh conditions, navigating the wilderness, or defending what’s yours, "King of the Woods" is an anthem of self-reliance, pride, and the raw, unbreakable spirit of being born and raised in the mountains.

The idea for "Stand for the Second" was born while reflecting on my  brother’s bravery and sacrifice during his tours in Iraq. Watching him serve his country instilled a deep sense of pride and respect for the freedoms he fought to protect. The song is a tribute not just to his courage but to the values he upheld—freedom, resilience, and the willingness to stand firm in the face of adversity. It’s a reminder of the cost of those freedoms and a call for everyone to honor the sacrifices made by individuals like my brother who put their lives on the line for others.
