Yasunori Mitsuda's soundtrack for the 2008 Nintendo DS game "Soma Bringer" is easily one of my favorite game soundtracks of all time. A couple of years ago I arranged the track "Village of Snow" from Soma Bringer for a remix album called Super VG Christmas Party. I decided to revisit Soma Bringer just for fun and try my hand at arranging another track from the game. This time I chose "Relic of Ancient Times", which coincidentally appears on the soundtrack right after "Village of Snow".

For this arrangement I basically just went for a one to one copy of the original, listening closely and trying to get every note correct, and orchestrating it for much better sounding instruments than the Nintendo DS could handle. Hopefully you enjoy it! If you aren't familiar with the original soundtrack, I highly recommend listening to the whole thing. It's one of Mitsuda's often overlooked masterpieces!

光田康典さんが作曲した２００８年に発売されたRPG『ソーマブリンガー』はゲームサントラの中で最も好きな一つです。そのサントラからの「太古の遺物」という曲を私はアレンジしてみました。オリジナルの曲を傾聴しながら、あまり変わらずに編曲しました（光田さんの曲はすでに完璧だからね）。どうぞ聞いてみてください！光田さん、いつも素晴らしい音楽を作ってくださってありがとうございます！
