On the third release from 3007 Hood Records, Berlin-based Christopher Rau presents 3 compact cuts with yet deeply expressive statement that draws from lo-fi aesthetics, soulful textures, and hypnotic groove structures.

The EP opens with “Turn Up”, a collaboration with rapper Candeece. Warm pads, minimal drums, and vinyl crackle set the tone for her powerful spoken-word performance.

“oneline” follows with dusty vocal snippets, off-kilter swing, and a subtle groove. It’s introspective yet danceable, deep house with soul and melancholic core.

Closing track “from corner to corner” dives into hypnotic territory, with pulsing chords and restrained percussion evolving gradually into a late-night loop.

With HOODREC003, Christopher Rau continues to refine his unique language: raw-soulness, deep, and always slightly out of step with trends in the best possible way.

From Corner to Corner

Dream Chimney proudly presents ‘Tidal Figures’ the new EP from Paris based producer Sim Fossil. The release is a deep dive into cosmic soundscapes, synth melodies, heavy basslines weaving together elements of house, nu-beat, and ambient into a truly unique, low-BPM fusion. Across four original tracks, ‘Tidal Figures’ explores a quiet duality of space and time. ‘Echo Marina’ and ‘Nyrosine’ bask in a soft, melodic glow, while ‘Null Meridian’ and ‘Backcurrent’ plunge listeners into a darker, even slower synthetic haze. The tracks are all driven by deep, slow basslines and shimmering synths that feel heavy and submerged, reminiscent of a half-speed Harold Faltermeyer adrift in an underwater voyage. 

Adding to the EP's allure, ‘Tidal Figures’ features two remixes from revered artists Max Essa and Project Sandro. Balearic luminary Max Essa takes on ‘Echo Marina’, infusing it with his signature magic touch while preserving its gentle tempo. Project Sandro, the collaborative vision of Rollmottle and Tony Watson, then propels ‘Null Meridian’ into an even deeper, outer space cruiser, showcasing their masterful blend of studio expertise and vision. This release showcases Sim Fossil's ability to create a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking, electronic yet gently fluid, perfectly suited for the ears and hearts of the discerning Dream Chimney fanbase.

Iron Curtis has been quietly crafting house music for many years, so it's fitting he is the first man to drop a full-length on West Yorkshire's finest label, Hudd Traxx. He shows his full range here, and while there are concessions to the full-length format, such as an immersive ambient opener steeped in cosmic radiance, there are also plenty of effective club cuts high on personality. The minimal kinetics of 'Dial Me In' is a standout, while 'Tensione' is dubby and elastic house and 'Dance Inc' slides into soft and dusty bliss for intimate backrooms.

Not too long ago, I stepped into the world of playing live-sets, a new and inspiring chapter in my creative path. Every set has been a learning experience. Preparing for these shows means creating a lot of new music, and I’ve decided it’s time to share more of it through my new ‘Luna Ludmila Live’ Bandcamp series. Each track is carefully road-tested in my shows before being released.

The second track in the series, 'Chord Tool', is a energetic but stripped-down piece built around delayed chords and a forward-moving bassline. I first played it in Barcelona last summer and it hasn't left my live-set ever since.
