There was lightning when I saw you.
I felt it coursing through my veins.
I saw ignition in your eyes

The stars had aligned, and we were doing fine
for a moment.
Well, the last time that I reached for you
my hand, it nearly froze.
There’s a draft here in our room.

 We do not share a page, a scene upon the stage 
and its silent.

I'm just killing time.
The restless thoughts are like clouds crossing my mind.
I'm thinking of driving away from the Rockingham County line.

I was asleep in the bedroom
on a snowy Christmas eve
Then I woke and started gagging
to a stench I couldn't believe
Holding my breath I staggered downstairs
and I noticed on the floor
a line of big dusty bootprints
leading to and from our bathroom door
Santa done tore up the bathroom
You know he didn't even spray

And damn near ruined Christmas day
We had to use our fire escape plan
just to get out of the house
I managed to save a few presents
by breathing in through my mouth
We spent the week with the neighbors
We may just have to stay
Cause Saint Nick went and left an odor
that probably won't be gone till May
