QUANTUM

Any Patch of Grass ((APOG)) invited me to open up Saturday afternoon in the Meadow. It was such a pleasure to create this mix. It serves as a love letter to this space Darrington Bluegrass Grounds, the festival community and the journey I began at this very venue- all it has given me and how it has changed my life. It's a full circle moment and so much love has gone into this mix.

New Status Quo

I've always been fascinated by the poignancy of his words, the inflection of speech, how weighty it feels. So I used this weight as the basis for a midterm project for the Intro to Electroacoustic Music course at the University of North Texas. The piece has taken on an interesting life on its own since then.

The first two minutes serve as reflective exposition of manipulated acoustic sound that lead to the explosive response, the latter set to a warped and muddied bed of "Gloomy Sunday" as sung by Billie Holiday.

I utilized various tools such as Logic, Peak, SoundHack, and Ableton Live to create and organize the aural elements, and scoured Archive.org for the great WWII/Cold War era film sound bites.
