In January 2015, Christopher Lawrence took the Pharmacy tour to Australia. In addition to club dates, he also played at the legendary Rainbow Serpent Festival in Victoria. This is a live recording of his set from that event.

This was an especially important show for Christopher, because it was at Rainbow Serpent many years ago that his love of psy trance was born.

Pharmacy Radio 104 w/ MODERN8

Christopher Lawrence joined forces with Paul van Dyk for a tour of Argentina in November 2014. The pair who recorded an Essential Mix together in 2006 share a long history, being two of a small handful of trance DJs who pioneered the genre in the mid 1990's. They have played many festivals and club shows together, but this was the first time they have embarked on a tour. They were joined by Tomas Heredia.

The tour hit Rosario on Nov 21st, Buenos Aires on Nov 22nd and Mendoza on Nov 23rd.

Described by Paul Oakenfold as 'the biggest tune in my crate this year', Rush Hour was was a massive hit for Christopher Lawrence in 2000, reaching #1 on the the British dance charts and becoming the fastest selling record in the history of Intergroove, the US's largest dance music distributor. Heralded as 'Single of the Month' by a gamut of the British dance press, it landed Christopher Lawrence on the cover of Britain's Wax Magazine. In high rotation on BBC's Radio 1, Rush Hour could be found in the sets of the world's biggest DJs from Paul van Dyk to Oakenfold.. you name the festival or club and DJs were hammering it. Rush Hour was featured on countless dance compilations ranging from Ministry of Sound, Reactivate and Godskitchen to Logic Trance. It was formative in terms of earning Christopher Lawrence a place in global dance scene and earned him the title of 'America's Top Trance DJ' from MUZIK Magazine.

Live from 1996. This set was recorded at a rave in Los Angeles in 1996. This is the true sound of the underground when Progressive House, Trance and Techno all blurred into one sound. DJs spun vinyl on Technics 1200 turntables. It was a completely different experience to using laptops and CDs. We set the record in motion with a flick of the wrist and lightly touched the record to to keep it on beat with the record spinning on the other deck. No easy task when the turntables were sitting on card labels right on the dance floor. But that is what made it special. No big stages, no LED screens, no digital downloads, no iTunes, no Youtube, no internet! These parties were word of mouth and paper flyers only. And after partying all night long at a warehouse rave we would head to Venice Beach to carry on in the sun at a proper popup out door party. Hopefully as you listen to this mix you will be taken back to a different time when dance music was just beginning and anything was possible!
