…(something) ruined coalesced by a random happenstance meeting after Leeds-based artist Foldhead put a shoutout on Facebook for recommendations for someone to add vocals to his instrumental noise set that was scheduled for one night in Leeds. Several mutual friends recommended writer and ranter Christopher Nosnibor who happily obliged, and a Third Mind coming together occurred, the sum infinitely greater than the parts. A colossal power electronics noise juggernaut was born.
But stuff happens, and sometimes it doesn’t. Circumstance meant that Foldhead had to pull out of a scheduled show, so Nosnibor – using a noise-generating programme created by his partner-in-noise – flew solo, playing the same ‘songs’ but differently. In deference to the fact that this wasn’t really …(something) ruined, an offshoot emerged. 
If …(something) ruined was born out of the urge to purge, …(everything) ruined emerged from a collapsing pessimism. 
Both projects are built around the channelling of rage. Because everything is fucked, and you have to face it somehow, or simply cave in and collapse.
Antisocial Distancing is the product of Nosnibor’s chipping and chiselling at material that either was, or will be in another form, or otherwise is still being evolved, for …(something) ruined. 
The first track, ‘Two Metres’ is largely self-explanatory. A pandemic piece, inspired by a T-shirt seen online. It’s not about any personal anxiety, but captures the paranoia of the period, and is centred on the fact that people are ignorant dicks.
‘On Brand’ featured on …(something) ruined’s ‘EP’: this version emerged from playing it live solo; ‘Thought for the Day’ is one of Christopher’s ‘Rage Monologues’ and a frequent live feature given studio treatment, while the instrumental ‘Sludgelord’ is a full-on power electronics workout with the title being a light swipe at the edgelords of the genre. ‘Thoughts for the Day’ dismantles the emptiness of motivational phrases and corporate bull. 
The cover art is taken from a photograph of an office, one of the most unnatural habitats for humankind. Why would anyone think that the human equivalent of battery farming is a good idea? 
Anger very much is an energy.
