My wee brother Kevin took sick a few weeks ago. On Tuesday he was rushed to the hospital and had brain surgery to remove an abscess. He is stable but has a way to go yet. I look forward to him waking up.

I recorded all these sounds with my brothers during a trip home to Ireland.
Close to our home there is a little quarry with a lot of sand, dust, stones, rocks and some grass.
A perfect, quiet location for recording some fine grit falling.

There was also a broken plough there that gave some nice stone on metal impact sounds.

I have always loved the sound of the celeste and when I saw this instrument had been uploaded to pianobook I knew had to try it out. A beautifully sampled instrument that will get plenty of use from me.

The drums are chopped up and beaten Spitfire LABS Drums.
My daughter Mia was hanging over my shoulder as I recorded the muted acoustic guitar part and I'm not sure why she wanted to say 'ow' so many times but it stayed there.
