For this peaceful fall morning, we turn to local Brooklyn based producer and DJ, Vicki Siolos for the auditory selections. After meeting at the Mostra festival in Barcelona, there was an immediate connection which only strengthened after listening through a few of her ‘Bright Pattern’ shows she hosts on the Lot Radio. Her mix for today showcases several pieces by Norm Chambers, as she writes – ‘including a new one released by his family on the anniversary of his passing. His music continues to inspire me to push myself deeper into my own imagination and stitch it into a sonic narrative. this warm sunday morning brings us a rather special offering, a hybrid set supplied by berlin based producer, and dj - sarah wreath who stretched her ambient muscles at fellow delayed favorite kato de vidts’ ambient tide series. here is what she had to say about the set:

this recording captures my hybrid performance at ambient tide in brussels—an event meticulously crafted by kato de vidts to deliver a profound journey of deep listening within an immersive environment.

centered around the chao gong as the primary instrument, the performance featured layered organic soundscapes enhanced by effects processing. this resulted in a hybrid set comprising compositions ranging from ambient to experimental, incorporating elements of icaros and ritual hymns.

the fundamental tone of the chao gong, 110 hertz, known as the fundamental pitch of om chanting, has been shown to aid in emotional processing and relaxation, exerting a profound effect on the right hemisphere of the brain. this hemisphere is recognized as the locus of artistic expression, spirituality, emotion, imaginative thinking, and breakthrough innovation.

The 91st episode of our Syntop Audio series is hosted by V:SONNTAG.

@vsonntag, the Leipzig-based DJ, started DJing techno back in 2019.
With a mix of driving beats, infectious grooves, and hypnotic minimal rhythms, her sets keep the energy flowing.

She's graced stages at well known clubs like Tresor, Rote Sonne, About Blank, and Institut für Zukunft, both locally and abroad in England, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Spain.

Being part of the Nebula collective, V:SONNTAG not only spins tunes but also plays a role in organizing events and managing a podcast series. Since the beginning of this year, she has been running the series „ Focus: “ to promote the visibility of FLINTA* artists.

We are super excited to bring you Podcast 355 with the boundary-defying British DJ and producer Tommy Four Seven. Tommy has been a respected visionary in the international techno scene for almost two decades.

As accomplished in the studio as he is behind the decks, Tommy has built an extensive discography that's grown in parallel with his touring career. His critically acclaimed debut LP, Primate, imaginatively fused off-kilter rhythms with four-to-the-floor minimalism, while his follow-up album, Veer, excavated even more daring and driving techno-adjacent territory. 

47, Tommy’s own imprint, is responsible for some of the most innovative techno in the scene today. Its recent 2.0 relaunch has cemented his singular stylistic approach; in the last two years, it has showcased up-and-coming artists like Quelza, Tauceti and VSK, who stand for the sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that Tommy threads through his own mixes and productions. 

An authentic and ever-evolving tastemaker, Tommy’s keen curation remains as sharp as ever.
