This song has been in the works for a very long time now, one of the three "Shred" songs I used to play at open mic jams way back in 2000. Started off being a simple backing track with crappy drums and no sense of engineering, but it's evolved into the track it is now. The guitars were recorded at a friends house using a bunch of stuff, mostly Engl amps. I could have re-recorded the guitars but I think they were done good enough to make the average guitar enthusiast happy. It's now been over 10 years since this track was conceived and now it's finally ready for print. Hopefully now I can get started on some new stuff and finish this damn Shred CD project I started a million years ago!!! Wish me luck... maybe someone in Japan will want to buy one : )

Great Expectations 2012

This song "Sorrow" has now been in the works for over 4 years. It started as an instrumental, moved into a beautiful song with lyrics, and due to artists being the reason I'm not working with artists anymore, I returned to my roots... SHREDDING!!! This will mark the date of its completion and I can now look forward to working on the next track on my upcoming album. Sorrow 2012

9/11, as the name indicates, this track has been in the works for over 10 years. It simply started as an example I did for a student to explain how three simple power chords can evolve into something great. I had no idea what this would become. The first time I played it out live was in Hollywood, FL at a bar called Schuckums around 9/13/2001. Ironically, one of the “Terrorists” that crashed into the tower ran up a huge bar tab at Schuckums during the time that he was taking flying lessons, which for obvious reasons, never got paid. (It was on the news, you can check it out.) After playing it, my good friend Mike Bianco, a two handed tapping legend, walk over to me and said that it sounded like the theme for 9/11, and that's how it got its name. The original track however was very simply in the beginning, fairly cheesy strings and drums recorded on a keyboard. I had no real experience as an engineer and never had any compositional background so this new version had to be over the top. With my new orchestral library, I told myself before I started; this will be everything I’ve learned about arrangement, composition, guitar playing, bass playing, drum programming, and engineering/production. It ended up taking 2 full weeks to compose the intro, and about a month of production and mixing, and 7 years of shaping. This track started it all. I hope you enjoy all the hard work and respect the time it took to finish it.
