I Wish I Could Talk In Technicolor

The year is 400,000 AD. Mankind has long since been eradicated from the Earth due to their persistent negligence of their environment. The last being on Earth is a cyborg variant of Tiresias, repeating a continuous message warning any future space farers away from the desolate planet. 

Amongst the dust of a long absent civilization, a seedling begins to grow. This awakens the human element from within the machine, after being dormant for millennia. Tiresias remembers the word "Green".

Welcome to the 30th session of Blocaus podcast.

Volte-Face has emerged as a key figure in London's adventurous electronic music scene, initially promoting some of the capital's most vital nights under his BleeD Music banner, and more recently as a producer, and running the label of the same name. Identifying as a DJ first and foremost, he takes a patient and measured approach in the booth, allying diverse and imaginative influences to a deep and steady techno pulse. Already remixed by the likes od DJ Spider, Peder Mannerfelt, DJ NOBU (OFFICIAL), and Svreca, this year heralds an appearance on Semantica, as well as plenty more material to come on BleeD, both solo and as on half of Rote, alongside Daniel Avery.

feeling green

As an artist I am using evolving technology not only as a medium in itself but also as subject.
Streaming, layering and reinterpreting multiple live art forms simultaneously. Finding where science meets spirituality and walking the fine line that exists between both camps; without indulging the dogma of pseudoscience or being blinkered by scientific myopia.
I dedicate the use of technology and it's bastardisation to improvise live images that relate to and directly influence the situation, i.e. music, dance, theatre etc. an element of chaos is intrinsic to all my work.
Growing up in the inner cities of Birmingham gives my work an urban outlook. With a science background I have a rational perspective and having being brought up by hippies i have an ability to live in the moment.
I am able to pick something up and run with it, in terms of new ideas/technology/performance, I have innate multitasking skills, and am able to use geeky technology to express non-geeky ideas.
