The Yard Woman's a Techno DJ/Producer from Bristol. She gets excited by all things groovy, melodic and mystical. After years of clubbing in Bristol, she wanted to transfer some of that Bristol 'energy' into her own productions. This is her brilliant debut release on Ronnie Spiteri's Kenja Records.

The lyrics of this track express this nostalgic feeling that comes round towards the end of a night filled with dancing, music and new connections. 90’s inspired atmospheric synths carry the track, while chopped vocal samples can be heard in the background inspired by Maya Jane Cole's vocal processing style. Matching the mood of this track The Yard Woman and the label envisage it reaching open-air clubs and beach bars this summer. Rising star Tom Hennessy turns in a quality remix. He cherry-picks all the best elements of the original track and delivers a stand-out alternative mix.

We’re back in the capital with the 11th installment of the “Stil vor Talent Berlin” compilation series, which brings forth a group of old and new faces exclusively contributing tracks, gathered under the umbrella of one of Berlin’s refreshing delights – Spreepark.

With the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the merry-go-rounds of the initial Kulturpark Plänterwald along the Spree River continued to spin, reborn as Spreepark. The fairground flourished until 2001, enticing Berliners with roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and a vibrant cultural program, transforming the riverbank into a verdant oasis of enjoyment. However, in 2001, the wheels of time came to a halt as nature reclaimed its space. Amidst the city, flora and fauna flourished, turning Spreepark into a mystical realm that captivated urban explorers navigating through the overgrown remnants of the past.

In 2016, a new chapter unfolded with the initiation of plans to rejuvenate Spreepark through collaborative efforts with Berliners to redefine the space. Jumping ahead to 2023, the city unveiled the first glimpse of the renewed Spreepark with the opening of a beer garden at the historic Eierhäuschen. The vision of a park seamlessly blending art, culture, and unique urban nature is gradually taking shape, with the entire Spreepark anticipated to welcome the public in 2026.

As always, music is the common denominator here and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals. The featured artists on this exceptional compilation include Jan René Lai, Kellerkind, Deckert & Sascha Home, Malandra Jr., Mila journée & Kiko, Jiggler & Vincent Marlice, Local Dialect, Annett Gapstream & Daniele Di Martino, Fur Coat, Robin Schellenberg & Rauschhaus, Ark Nomads & Cosmosolar, Steve Six, Björn Störig, and Deniz Kabu.

As the melodies of Stil vor Talent resonate, they serve not only as a musical tribute to Spreepark’s rich history but as an invitation to partake in the unfolding symphony of the park’s vibrant future. Join the ride!

Opening track „This Time" comes from Swedish DJ and producer Fahlberg, who balances melancholy and empowerment into a maelstrom of emotions that take you onto an electronic journey inside yourself.
„Voices of the Synthverse" by Error 401 takes us for a spin with this disco infused house thumper full of sonic surprises. An infectious bassline, energetic piano chords and cheeky bells - this one has it all and more!
Up next is Deomid with „Release Your Power" - a rich blend of retro elements assembled into a modern and powerful composition.
And closing the FTTF34 is „Adventure Time" by Surmillo. The bass grabs you like you fell into the water rapids - but then you manage to stay afloat and race down the river like it's the most exciting ride of your life.

Fahlberg - This Time

This May, The Yard Woman, a London-based talent, is set to reach a notable point in her career by releasing her debut EP 'Spellbound' on Einmusika. This accomplishment adds to her list of successes in 2023, including her support for Mathame & Ivory earlier this year, showcasing her growth as a rising DJ and producer.

Swirling atmospheres and euphoric vocals command attention. Tension is built throughout the track, where the grittier melodies come into the spotlight unveiling the euphoric yet textured character of the EP. With distinct climaxes grounded by a chugging bassline, the Spellbound EP is set to be a memorable moment on the dance floor.

‘Let Me Go’ by @dialoque-music, is named after the EP’s eponymous opening track; an imposing composition about relinquishing your grip on your dearest ones. After its inner struggles, it finally liberates itself musically and kicks off the last burden to break into a huge half-time ‘encore’. Vocalist Biba created the very foundation of this song by using just a loop-pedal and recording a stack of vocals and harmonies on each other. After some studio-sessions, the track took a twist and turned into a huge production. As a counterpart, the track ‘High of the Hallway’ gives you a high energetic up-tempo beat. The EP is complemented with hefty remixes by @mozesmeijer (My Baby, Isis & Mozes) and @philippwolf-music (DE), who take their own view on both tracks.

Hailing from USA, All living Things brings melancholy and beautiful harmonies in ‘Event Horizon’, a track to fill the dance floors with emotion and special feelings.  

Polish upcoming talent Gigee brings a hypnotic tune that mixes techno and progressive elements in perfect fashion with ‘Odisea’.  Pure class from this talented lady that will be one of the “look out for“ artists in 2021.  

And we end the Unique Moment series with the debut of Progressive staple Lessovsky. The Ukranian brings a very different and unique groove in ‘Venus’, a track with wild synths and out of the box spectrum of sounds. Simply Timeless!
