BIOGRAPHY
Cutting their teeth in the UK’s metal and hardcore scene, Chronographs were the sore thumb of every bill, leaving bodies bruised and minds thoroughly exercised with their cocktail of complex metal, and soaring refrains. ‘Nausea’, an EP inspired by philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre’s book by the same name, was released in January 2013 via Ghost Music. It was highly-acclaimed by the media and made Chronographs Ghost Music’s highest-selling band at that time.

Chronographs’ tech-metal chapter was brought to a close with headline tours with support from ACODA (Best Before) and NOW, VOYAGER (Destroy Everything), support slots with the likes of BLEED FROM WITHIN (Century Media) and DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL (Basick) and highly-anticipated appearences at GHOSTFEST, TECH-FEST & THROWFEST.

In 2014, Chronographs have shed their metallic skin, showcasing a refined style of songwriting that belies their years. Jon Sinfield’s deeply personal lyrics and infectious hooks are supported by four gifted bandmates whos compositions are brimming with nuance, restraint and the occasional moment of technical flair.

NEW MUSIC, EVERY MONTH
Chronographs have just embarked on a journey of releasing a new song every month for a year, in a bold move to mold their career around the current musical climate. Guitarist Tom Ridley says:

“Since the album format was conceived, the way in which music is made, sold and consumed has completely changed. Businesses battle to stay in the public eye, but bands are commited to the peaks and troughs of awareness that come with the album cycle. The other problem with that system, is by the time the music is heard, it’s already out of date. By releasing music every month, we’re as relevant as we possibly can be – our audience is listening to what inspired us just a couple of weeks ago. That’s a really cool position to be in.”
