Filter Feeder is a melodic house track with a driving bassline from second release "Chordates" on my new music label OIKO.

It is named after a basal animal group which includes Oikopleura dioca - a filter feeder and an important pelagic zooplankton. When it feeds on algae its tail beats a sinus wave - the waveform into which all sounds can be decomposed. After a brief life it sheds its house forming marine snow that falls to the ocean floor, capturing CO2 in the process.
