We're excited to welcome Carbon Based Lifeforms into the Chill Space family! The Swedish ambient duo was founded in Gothenburg in 1996 by Daniel Ringström (now known as Daniel Segerstad) & Johannes Hedberg, initially as an offshoot of Notch, their group with Mikael Lindqvist. Their 1998 album The Path (initially released as a Notch recording) combined atmospheric synthesizers, downtempo beats, acid basslines from a Roland TB-303, didgeridoo, and field recordings. The duo signed with French ambient/trance label Ultimae Records in 2002, and released proper debut Hydroponic Garden in 2003. The rest is downtempo electronica history.

It is now my honor to return to this wonderful Universo Paralello Festival (Bahia, BR) for another performance on the Chill Out Stage after such a difficult and sensitive period of a pandemic on our planet! This festival has a very special meaning for me, since it is my favorite event and, as those close to me know, it is where I started to idealize my project. Recently I have been extremely impacted in a positive and inspirational way by the birth of my beloved son Jojo, to whom I dedicate this work, intending to gather my energy and eternalize all the wonderful vivid feelings that I experienced since his birth. And it is within this context of overcoming and great love that I developed the theme of this sound line, being able to draw a special message for such an important occasion: “Life is a miracle”. Great thanks to the organization of the festival, to the artists/friends of Chill Out and to the amazing support offered by “Psybient.org” for this release.

My name is Din (DINO).
Living at the beautiful north of Israel,
down below Golan Heights, where all green nature and floating rivers streams.

Inspired by the organic pure sounds and peace of nature, I let the vibes go by it.
Throw sine waves, harmony and grooves i wish to feel it all inside me and give it back for listeners.

I'm using Bitwig to produce music since I can use handless modulations and randomness, which for me describes the divine change and transformation moment by moment.

Hungarian duo, Ferenc Majercsik and Nandor Horvath, the imaginative producers behind YARN ( Blue Tunes Chillout Records) made their exlusive mix for radiOzora.

Yarn is an exciting, experimental downtempo project from two of Hungary’s top producers, Ferenc Majercsik and Nándor Horváth. Combining elements of dub, breaks, hip hop beats and ambient soundscapes, the pair maintain variety and quality throughout their compositions.
Attention to detail is the first thing you notice, the drum hits perfectly crafted and arranged into unique cadences, the pads organic and haunting. At times uplifting, at times dark and pensive, the music keeps moving and evolving, adding layers over grooves and complex percussion. Shifting between genres to find a sound all their own, they can be both engaging and relaxing – taking listeners on long, strange trips.

They have released a full length album entitled Yarnia, as well as four EPs, and are releasing an album in the upcoming weeks on Blue Tunes Chillout Records.

Sit back and let Yarn guide you through distant cultures majestic and surreal, patiently setting a deep, melodic tone for your evening.
