Daso Franke was born in Poona (India) and at the age of five was using the dance floor of his father’s disco as a playground, growing up with the music of Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix and radio pop. Their own label, built with no creative boundaries, Radau is a playground where the Berlin quartet remove all limits and expectations and dig deep into the mindset and experimentalism that united them in the first place. 'Frequent Tendencies' sets the scene perfectly. A loosely hewn sliver of emotion constructed just a smidgeon off grid, there's a natural momentum as we're thrust deep inside a vociferous synth hook that rises unapologetically, gradually taking us to a surprise pivot. From here the articulation switches, a whole layer of weight and emphasis on the riff opens up and your crowd won't just elevate, they'll levitate. With plenty more music due on both Radau and beyond, it seems GHEIST's impeccable acceleration over the last two years will continue for a long time to come.

Here's my Rework taken from this years THIS IS SUMMER 2018 Mix. What a great dreamy piece of work by Guy Gerber. To fit in this years TIS Mix it had to be glimpse more of straight forward, so i tried to add some fitting elements without destroying the groove of the Original.

Really touched by all the support we've been receiving from everyone and so, so appreciative of it all. It's only been a short time we've been writing this story together but just the fact that doing the music we feel in our hearts manages to connect with so many other people is gratifying beyond words.
While this is certainly only the end of a chapter and the beginning of a much longer story, it's important for us to take a moment and take note of the things that matter. Beyond polls and numbers (which are transitory as all in life is) it's the downright love we've felt from so many that has truly left a lasting mark on us both.
So as a little token of thanks we're offering a free download of our unreleased Straight To Your Head remix which many people have been asking us about this past year.
It feels like a nice way to close this chapter as we begin to start the next.
