From the depths of progressive rock, psychedelic funk and indie rock the 100 ft, 50 tonne water-born beast rises up to face the harsh reality of modern music. Incubated in the toasty underbellies of the University of Bath and spawned in 2018, the now fully matured beast consists of drummer Jake, keys fanatic Mariana, bass beast Khalid, guitar crooner Fabio and vocal acrobat Will. An amalgamation of nationalities and influences, chubiduc functions on the brain power of three Engineers, a Natural Scientist and an Architect. The resulting sound is a unique confluence of Western, Slavic and Middle-Eastern music with just the right dose of grooviness. Seen at the likes of Moles, St James Wine Vaults and the late Nest, the great beast chubiduc never fails to confuse and delight audiences of all backgrounds. Musical inspiration ranges from Pink Floyd and King Crimson to Hiatus Kayote and Tigran Hamasyan. Stay up to date for some killin’ tunes.
