PREMIERE: Holt 88 - One Speaker [Big Boom Bass]

In 2017, D.C. based DJ and producer zacheser had a dream: what if he gathered all his peers and friends together and got everyone to build a scene with one another? Not long after, Chub Rub was born.

The debut release from the tech leaning label is a compilation featuring genre bending, boundary pushing cuts from some of underground dance music's biggest rising stars. Label boss zacheser starts off the compilation with the soaring "Yah Yah" alongside The Jalombian before working into the tribal infused "Tembo" from Rawle Night Long and 35mm. The journey continues with the emotional rollercoaster "Ceremony" from newcomer Nathan Gorey before moving on with rolling basslines on Brenner's "Stilniss". RaceCarBed then teams up with zacheser on the tech house weapon "Bad Ideas" before working into the bass heavy banger, "The Storm," from Luke Andy. The compilation then wraps up with the industrial warehouse slammer "Get That" by Symmetrical. 

Regardless of where you find yourself on the weirdo spectrum, 'Fancy Sauce Vol. I' has a vibe for you - and is an impressive debut from one of house music's rising collectives to keep an eye on.

Dumb Fat welcomes our dear friend Sven Lochenhoer, which by the way is half man and half computer, with a tasty 3 track EP that takes us on a space voyage.



Kicking off with the heavy hitting 'Black Friday', this groove takes over ones body as if he encoded some telekinetic power that spills out when transmitted through speakers. Alien technology possibly yes, but we don't ask or tell. The grooves continue with 'Anotha Level', imagine you're at a far away planet rave in a universe where R2D2 is on the decks, this is the song that has the place bumpin'. Deep groovy bounce with some sci-fi licks. Lastly, Sven brings us 'Oh Boy' to end our journey and make our way back home to earth with atmospheric, laid back vibes.
