Hi Fam Jam!

What a delightful weekend we had closing out the near-end of summer 2024. This was my first Fam Jam and the event's 3rd anniversary. Located in the serene Santa Cruz mountains near the beautiful coast of California, USA, approximately 200 people gathered for a weekend of delicious BBQ (thanks Sharkbite!), music, and friendly faces, new and old! It was such a pleasure to be selected to perform and be present at this event. 

This is the live recording from my set on Saturday night from 10-11pm. Extra special thanks to Solkist, Denver Drake, Lowdecka & the rest of the Santa Cruz DJ Sessions crew & friends for coordinating such an intimate and lovely campout for us all to enjoy.

PS: Extra thanks to Maculate for performing his creative VJing during my set - the dancing pigeons were a huge hit throughout the weekend so I thought it only appropriate they don the artwork of my DJ mix (Photo credit to B. Miller Productions).

A very special hip hop filled set for the The Fur Ball, a every five year Valentines party located at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon, Alta, Utah. Lot's of fun to weave a sexy (and maybe a little raunchy) lady vibe throughout. Lot's of love to the WIlliam's family, and all the AltaBird peeps for dancing on the table’s and feeling the heat!

InStereo Recordings Presents Vol 1 - Mixed by TAKIMBA

Such a blast opening for Beat Kitty! My favorite sets are ones that have a bit of a challenge or a twist, and this one was a great exercise at transitioning from bangin' house to deeper bass-y grooves. Life stuff is making it so I can't go out as much as I used to, so I really appreciated the opportunity to play for such a warm and fun crowd, and to reconnect with my burner fam. Can't wait till next time :)

This is the live recording from my home camp of Heavy Petting Zoo which was co-hosted by Entheos and Sound Garden. My time slot was Saturday from 6-7pm. DJ DENISE - Live at unSCruz 2025: HPZ/Entheos/Sound Garden

This set has been in development for a long time. Originally arranged for 2024 campout season, it was shelved for nearly a year. More tracks were acquired and integrated in 2025, abd a bunch that were originally in didn't make the final cut. I've been taking some time off from DJing while learning to play guitar and pursue other creative outlets, but I felt the inspiration to dust off the decks and finally get this set finished.
