Addicted - Rose Gold (Hasan Insane Remix)

My latest single is a baile funk/funk carioca/samba infused track and one that's inspired by the Brazilian dance form referred to as 'Passinho' or "little step". Passinho originated in the favelas of Rio in the early 2000s and over the past 2 decades has amassed global recognition and attention. It is an art form that has contributed to decreasing tensions across rivaling neighborhoods, creating community and a sense of belonging amongst the youth and has even helped to break down gender roles in the dance community as well as challenge harmful stereotypes. 

I was first introduced to Passinho via a documentary called "Brazil's Passinho Dancers of Queimados" which follows a dance group called the OS Fabullosos. I was fortunate enough to work with two talented members of this group and they put together a choreographed dance for my single. 

I hope that the audience of this song, no matter how big or small draws even more attention to this beautiful art form, to the incredibly talented dancers, and to the Brazilian culture. Much love, and hope you enjoy. - Pherris

Ever waited for a train in the middle of October fog, only to realize your real crisis isn’t the delay but the lack of vowels on the station sign? 🫠 This is that moment turned into chillwave: ghost-trains, trembling rails, and a narrator who’s on his knees not for love, but for A, E, I, O, U.

It’s a misty slow-motion dream where vowels are contraband, consonants clatter like empty carriages, and the station announcer sounds like a deadpan Kafka character. “Ladies and gentlemen, all vowels have been suspended indefinitely” — and somehow you’re still scrolling Telegram.

Think Twin Peaks meets Wheel of Fortune in a night train with no destination. This track isn’t just about missing letters; it’s about the absurd poetry of losing the little things that make life sing.
