I am a guitarist with roots in Detroit, where I played music until I joined the Navy in Lansing after completing my degree in architecture. I also attended Heald College in California, where I graduated with a degree in electronics and IT computer repair. I started playing guitar at the age of nine.

My musical influences include Curtis Mayfield, who is my cousin, as well as Little Sonny and various artists from the Motown era, including the Four Tops and Aretha Franklin. With over 50 years of experience in rhythm and blues, rock ’n’ roll, and smooth jazz, I have also played country music and classic rock in California.

I have participated in numerous blues bands and jam sessions and have often sponsored events at The Tackle Box in Chico, CA. Currently, I am based in Georgia and seeking job opportunities in music. I also perform solo smooth jazz shows, so please feel free to contact me if you are interested.
