From DJ DADA from Ypsilanti, MI and our national #CVCCrew: “I was inspired by the first radio border blaster located in Reynosa called La Poderosa, XED-AM (1050 kHz). Blasting music across North America unlicensed, border blasters pioneered bilingual programming along with random radio broadcasts. This mix includes experimental music from all over the world as well as some rebajadas, oldies and is an audio marrananda. Being based out of the Canada/ USA border now, I included some Habibi Funk, from my digs in Dearborn and Detroit (which also had border blaster radio stations). A lot of the records are from record stores in Mexico DF, Austin, McAllen, random places in the Midwest and mailed gifts from friends during the pandemic.
