The calm were established by four long time friends. The Basingstoke based band feature the combined talents of David Duly (vocals and guitar), Matthew Graham (guitar, break dancer) , Mervin Chumun (Drummer) and Clark (Bassist). Despite being predominately indie-rock at the core,  The Calm were heavily influenced by hip-hop, drum'n'bass and off course the two giants in the Britpop arena Oasis and Blur.
