Following a brief hiatus, Church are back to releasing ways.

Vancouver's Wolfey steps up for the first release of 2022, five years on from his collaborative 'Jervis Pump Station' EP with Project Pablo on the label.

True to form, the three-track EP entitled 'Crab Park Sunrise’ features Wolfeys ever infectious grooves and rich nostalgic synth work. ‘Deep Blues’ offers up quirky melodic top lines whilst ’Speed Mania’ brings the tempo down with swirling echoing pads.

Title track ‘Crab Park Sunrise’ welcomes crisp, echoing chord stabs over rich foundations of perc and groove-drenched bass line. ’Sunday Drive’ then closes the show with a darker, more acidic aura as the tempo climbs for a peak energy offering.

A new decade has arrived and with it the marble series on Church continues to shine its light on the very best of underground sounds. 

Following on from the huge success of ‘Where Do We Go From Here’, No Moon brings us his 653 Miles EP packed with four stellar original cuts. The original leads the way with enchanting synth pads that swell around sparkling melodies that dance around a relaxing breaks groove.

‘Wouldn’t Have It Any Other Way’ follows similar suit with gentle rolling drums alongside balearic chords and subtle yet punchy bass line. ‘Dayz’ ups the energy with acidic melodies and chiming ride hits that work effortlessly around a more house orientated percussive performance. 

‘Highland Spring’ brings to a close this fine collection in a more minimalistic fashion dominated by reverb soaked textures and muffled breaks.

now then now then out to all you geezers who made to the soundcoud description. i have to say, i really hope you enjoy listening to this as much as i enjoyed making it. more than that though, as it was by far the most therapeutic music I have made in my life so far. this is EP is a tale of love lost and love found, yes thats right - its the story of my love of sparkling water. im sure youve all been told, theres plenty more fish in the sea. and this is certainly true when it comes to picking a bottle of refreshing water to drink, but then theres one that nothing compares to. anyway, u know what i mean

The room was crowded and steamy as she entered the darkness. She glanced around surveying the scene and taking in each dancer with a vivid, wild imagination. She'd always dreamed of becoming a dancer and now amidst this place, despite her nerves, she felt at home. She began to move, taking deep breaths in and out, one by one. It was important for her to remain composed - an anxious soul she could become tempted to vanish into the night in a split second. Repeating these words to herself she began to reassess her situation, with each refrain she would feel calmer.

Dj Clea is next up on Church, a longstanding record label based in London and run by Seb Wildblood. Her latest EP is a personal affair, a fusion of club tracks with poignant delicacy and careful attention to detail. For us this was the special track from the record but the beauty of this as an EP is that each may mean something different to one and all.

Church welcomes Swedish native DJ Clea for her debut EP with the imprint, entitled ‘Historia’. The first single ‘I Want To Stay’ drops on August 28th, followed by the full EP - out everywhere on September 11th.

Clea Herlöfsson has become quite the staple amongst Stockholm’s prolific DJ scene. She’s currently a resident at one of Stockholm’s foremost underground venues Under Bron and the self-pronounced Dancing Queen has been making her way through some of the world’s top venues and festivals over recent years including Else (Berlin), Social Room (Hong Kong) and Kaiku (Helsinki). After quitting her day job to focus on production, she’s honed a sound custom made for the peak-time having released on labels like Unknown To The Unknown and Study Records - transmitting nostalgic feelings of mid-rave contentment and dancefloor togetherness.

DJ Clea’s opening track ‘Gothic Girl’ is a self-portrait of her signature style, building trance-like synth lines and high-energy kick drums before dropping harder breaks as the track revs up. Lead single ‘I Want To Stay’ is up next, introduced by ethereal swirls and crisp percussion before 90s-style vocals and dreamy pads come together for a house track reminiscent of vintage RnB. Next up is ‘Leon Stone’ - a deeper track undercut by a low-slung melody and laidback retro synth sounds. 

DJ Clea’s ‘Historia’ EP is out everywhere on September 11th.
