A short demo of a piece that I composed on holiday with a short film producer. He liked it so much he suggested we record it and put it in his latest short film!

It turns out it is quite similar to the piano parts he'd written earlier on some downtime on a day of filming.

This is the final solo guitar piece over a backing track made by Keith Merrow. He is running a competition on YouTube to win a hand made 7 string Mayones Regius guitar. Best solo wins.

It's a metal track and I don't see myself as a shredder, but here's what I've come up with.

Guitar solo for the Mayones / Seymour Duncan / Keith Merrow competition

A work in progress, mainly just some riffs I came up with on my 7 string.

- The clean part at the start is played using a percussive technique using the side of my thumb, giving it an unusual feel both tonally and in the playing of it.
- The drums are just built in grooves from Native Instruments Studio Drummer with some minor tweaks.
- Guitar sounds are my Ibanez RGD7421 through my Blackstar Series One 45 direct out. (too much gain?)
- Bass parts played on my Ibanez SR505 through POD Farm

Now has a bass part over/under the heavy riff
