Having worked in artist development, helping others find their moment, CHYARO always knew they wanted to take that leap themselves. While passionate about supporting artists, there was also a desire to see what they were capable of. The song captures that turning point, the hunger to chase their own dreams.

“SE19” traces the real-life story of how my mother (a Black girl raised in Wiltshire who made her way to LSE and law school) and my father (a Jamaican academic who studied at Oxford) met, fell in love, and had me. It’s also about the health struggles they faced, the pressure I felt growing up as an only child, and how music eventually became my way of expressing all that I couldn’t say out loud.

This is a track about feeling trapped in a corporate job and finding purpose through music. Written during on of his daily commutes on the tube to Victoria Station, the song captures the emotional weight of chasing your dreams while stuck in a life that doesn’t align with who you are. With honest lyricism, soulful delivery, and a message that resonates with a generation questioning the 9 to 5 grind, Chyaro turns a moment of personal frustration anthem of self-discovery and ambition.

9 TO 5

King Kong is about what it feels like to be crushed by pressure, but also the fight to keep going. With this release, Chyaro opens up conversations around mental health in music. This is the final single before the release of his debut EP, Pensive Landscape of Lost Hope and Lies, coming out January 2026, which will involve a release party and will continue his journey performing and collaborating with various artists across the North East.

CHYARO is a storyteller who uses music to document his journey and the world around him. Born and raised in South East London, he witnessed how artists like Dave and Stormzy used their talent not only to entertain but to inspire generations—something that fuels Chyaro’s own artistry.
With the help of his producer, The AC Product, he blends immersive instrumentals with his articulate, well-spoken tone to paint vivid pictures of his life. Despite facing academic struggles, Chyaro found rap to be his voice—drawing influences from Loyle Carner’s introspective storytelling and the poetic delivery of Hamilton. He transforms personal experiences into verses that are accessible to all.
